Linda Rogers Artist Biography
Linda Rogers is a mixed media artist who uses photography, word and image, photo montage, installation and narrative series in her work. Her 2015 solo show at the Westport Free Public Library, The Quandary of Legacies, culminated several years of mixed media projects. Her solo show in December, 2015, Animal Blocks presented twenty images of an ongoing project in montage.
She received a first prize from www.rfotofolio.org , a curated resource for on line fine art photography for the “ONE” competition in 2015 with her photo, “Lake Dream.”
In Spring 2013 Rogers received first prize in Portraits from the World Wide Photography Gala Awards in England for a photo collage from her series: Time’s Arrow: Family Portraits Through Time. In 2012 the installation of The Quandary of Legacies theme was featured in the Griffin Gallery of the Griffin Museum of Photography as part of Photography Atelier. She has exhibited in juried group shows at the Cambridge Art association, the A Smith Gallery in Johnson City Texas, and the Little Compton RI photography show. She participated in group shows at the Bedford Massachusetts Free Library, and the Photography Atelier studio class over the last decade at Leslie University and The Griffin Museum of Photography.
Rogers studied digital imaging and photography at the New England School of Photography and the Photography Atelier at Radcliffe Seminars, Lesley Seminars and the Griffin Museum and creative writing with Anne Bernays, Jane Rabb, Alex Theroux, Sean O’Connell and Miriam Goodman.
